In 2010 nearly a million people attended the first Tall Ships Races port visit in Hartlepool. Our marketing and advertising campaign reached may times that. 

2023 will see a bigger and better event, and we have created many opportunities for businesses to get involved. The event and campaign will have many strong themes: Youth, Opportunity, Sustainability, Community, and International Friendship.

We will create a partnership with you to place you firmly as a supporter of this important moment for Hartlepool and the North East. We have a raft of benefits across advertising, PR, event venues and marquees, and incredible hospitality to ensure your rewards as a sponsor will both support your community and work for your company.

The four day event in July will see up to a million people or more visit Hartlepool and the event site.

Get on board the stars of the show. Meet the international crews and experience their warm and proud hospitality. More than 20 countries will be represented in Hartlepool from as far away as Asia and South America. These ships will provide no doubt provide you with a venue and experience that will last long in the memory.  

Ships will host on board with delicious local catering, drinks and entertainment. You’ll be right in the heart of the Festival, amongst the ‘Forest of Masts‘, or we can take you out to sea – let’s get the sails up! Our expert Tall Ship consultant will help you choose the best ship for you.

It’s all about the ships! That’s why we’re here. This page will give you details about all the ships as they sign up. Many of these will be available for deck hospitality, and one or two will run public ticketed sailing events for us too. Watch this space!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to take part in something spectacular! You will make friends for life from all over the world, you will learn a wealth of new and valuable skills that will help you in any challenge that comes your way:
