Hartlepool-based InStudio become the latest business to pledge support!

A local creative digital design agency with a star-studded portfolio has partnered with Hartlepool Borough Council to promote next month’s Tall Ships Races Hartlepool 2024.

In Studio, based at The Bis, Whitby Street, is one of the Business Community Supporters of the four-day extravaganza that will see thousands of people visit Hartlepool Marina for the free event.

As part of the Business Community Support, in Studio has been tasked with providing marketing material for the summer showpiece as well as the design and support of the official Tall Ships Races Hartlepool website.

In Studio’s managing director Denise Newton said: “It is nice to be involved in such a big community event like the Tall Ships Races, it is something the town can be proud of.

“There are so many businesses and local people from the town involved and we are proud to be playing a part.

“We weren’t involved the last time the Tall Ships came to Hartlepool in 2010 as a business but we are aware of the many creative and small businesses who are involved so we thought it would be nice to join in with the fun.”

The In Studio team has already reported increased website traffic, surpassing 250,000 views this year.

This surge in visitors is accompanied by a considerable number of individuals who have submitted online forms to express their interest in volunteering, participating as sail trainees, or providing support for the event in various capacities.

Most recently the website has seen regular updates to its news section, an events programme added and updated, as well as biographies/timings about the acts performing between July 6-9 such as Maximo Park and The Magic Numbers.

Beverley Bearne, Hartlepool Borough Council’s assistant director for development and growth, said: “It is fantastic to have local businesses such as In Studio working on the Tall Ships Races Hartlepool.

“We all know how important such a worldwide attraction is to a town like Hartlepool and the website and marketing has a hugely important role to play in keeping people up to date on what is going on.

“In Studio have worked with the Council on other projects in the past such as Love Hartlepool and Shop Hartlepool, so to have them on board as a Business Community Supporter of the Tall Ships Races Hartlepool is an extension of that.”

In Studio forged a reputation for providing excellence during its 21 years and has delivered on projects for clients such as Heather Mills’ VBites and legendary musicians Chas & Dave, as well as other high-profile names.

Beth Newton, In Studio’s lead designer on The Ships project, said: “The Council came to us with an established brand, working with Tall Ships Races organisers Sail Training International, and between us we have developed the content and design of the website.

“It has been a work in progress which is updated on a weekly basis. When the Council approached us on this project we were more than happy to accept the challenge.

“We have also agreed to sign up for a mixture of digital and print marketing for the event and we will be supporting with brochures and social media – basically anything we can to support the marketing of the Tall Ships of the event that will benefit the town.

“We have already had excellent feedback from people using the website, everyone seems to be really excited for the event. We are looking forward to having a role to play over the course of the four days too in making sure the website remains active and updated.”

There will be a dazzling display of pyrotechnics, performance, and music during The Tall Ships Races Hartlepool 2024 on Friday, July 7 followed by a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday, July 8.
